Suspender, overall, adjustment clip

I found this today at a home that burned down in the early 1900's.
I know it is some sort of adjustment clip, however, after thousands of pics I cant find it.
A. Does anyone knkow what it is off? Suspender? Overalls? Something else?
B. Is there any way to date it with no markings?

Suspender Clip---Early 1900's.

I have found one very similar to yours and mine was produced between 1910 and 1920.
