I found this this weekend north of Dayton Ohio. I've collected/hunted for 25 years and this is one of the best of this type I've found! It's 2 3/8'' long and 2 1/8'' at it's widest. Sweet! Thanks for looking

Very nice LL digs. Love the punch notching, but there is an aspect about them that is really intriguing. It may just be the image, but it appears like they've thinned with a very unique method in those notches. I REALLY would like a closer shot inside the notches if you wouldn't mind.

You're correct, the tangs have unique thinning flakes taking out of them and the inside of the notches too. Heres a short video showing it in the field. It shows both sides as well as down the barrel, and shows the extreme beveling. I will try to get some good pics of the interior notches

Here are some better pics of the thinning flakes on the tangs and interior notches. The beveling extends all the way to the end of the barbs on both sides which is kind of unique

Nice find. Great beveling. Its wild how that workmanship came all the way down the sides. I love lost lakes.They are so fragile to survive so long. Congratulations !

Congrats! that is one the nicest Lost Lakes i have ever seen. gets my vote for the Banner!

I have a black Lost Lake thats as good or better I found 15 years ago, it's right at 4'' It's not the same variety but in the same ballpark. The barbs on it are pointed and the beveling isn't quite as extreme. thanks for looking
