sweet 1785 Connecticut copper * silver pocket spill

[HEAVYMETALNUT]

got out with Todd Hiltz we found 3 of 4 sites.all were pretty hammered but one site gave up a few keepers. we put some miles on the ole treads hiking but it's always worth it when ya come out with a sweet 1785 Connecticut copper. Also dug few buttons,a mangled shoe buckle frame,a couple key hole escutcheon plates .a cool designed tombac button and a colonial clasp knife and a musket ball.
last weeks hunt photos are in here as well which included a 1808 classic head LC and a silver pocket spill. My Girl Friend Lynne dug her 1st Fugio (in pics)

Sweet finds Dave. Congrats. The Connecticut copper is really impressive, but that Fugio looks pretty nice too. Post how it cleans up!

[CTwoods]

that older escutcheon with hand stamped designs, is pushing the late 1600s - 1720 era

That Connecticut is spectacular Dave. And I really like the fancy designed button.

Awesome finds! May I ask, have you ever searched for bottles? I realize that's a whole different subject but the rewards are about the same. That colonial site likely has an old privy behind the house that could hold some valuable glass. (and coins if you sift)

Excellent bunch of finds. They look way better than the ones in my dirt. I'm lucky to even get a date.
