when I first got my vanquish 540 I tried it with the 12” coil and found it nose heavy and not much fun after about an hour. So I have been using the v8 coil which I like a lot. Today I tried the 12 coil again after my conversion to the strait shaft. Much more comfortable to swing now. I hunted the same area that I have been hunting with the v8 and found that the 12 coil is deeper and pinpoints just as well as the v8. a pleasant surprise.
