My experience with silver coins is very few times have i been elbow deep after any coin... (if the ground has not been disturbed )
In the country in the plowed fields the farmers turn up the old coins every year...and in that loose soil 12" - 18 " is the norm for most mid to upper machines depending on target/coin size.
In the woods most of the targets are shallow i guess cuz of the roots holding them up2"-6" cellar holes most are deeper to 10".
In the City parks the silver coins that are left and i feel that there are many...are masked by the junk targets that permanent in the parks so small coils have the best chance there.
The sub 5"DD coil for the Teknetics G2 and Omega gets very close in depth to the 11" DD coil....the T2 has a Sub 5" DD coill that gets very deep too.
The G2s forte is not silver, so deep silver is more of the forte of the Omega and the T2 and some say the T2 trumps the Omega in depth and theSE/ LTD models must for sure.
So i guess it would be between the Teknetics T2 SE/LTD and the Etrac.....and man that has been a dog figft a three way fight if you throw in the Fisher F75 LTD.
I have been useing the smaller coils in the city parks for years and have done very well with them.....but i have never seen a 5" coil go as deep as the Teknetics on the Omega that combo is unreal in depth and separation.and a lot say the Etrac beats them all....but most silver coins i find in parks are deeper 6'-10" and in with trash, and the Teknetics 5"DD coil is like a laser cutting between coins and junk D1 tone .
