Coin recoveries were-
1844 Bank of Montreal Canada half penny
1850 large one cent
Early copper American? Initialed on the back FMG, any help with a identification would be greatly appreciated
Also found the typical early settler things, buttons, cuff link, suspender clip…etc

Great counter stamped coin !
It was common to counterstamp a smoothed off coin to use in a business as change or payment...a form of advertising and ingenuity.
Many are what's called mavericks but some can be attributed to someone or something specific.
Always a cool find!
