Talking to oneself while detecting alone

Yep.... but dont tell anyone. Sometimes I talk like Im giving a tutorial to an invisible detecting student or my Dad that killed himself 20 something years ago...I find it helps to improve my search, sweep ,hole filling , optimising settings etc. I only detect in remote places these days

Yeah, but I wouldn't worry about it. With all the phone zombies roaming the streets that appear to be talking to themselves with their hidden ear buds.
Then there's the voice activated texts or asking Google a question....
In the past people might look at you to see if you're crazy but now it doesn't look out of place.
Until they realize I don't have a zombie phone.....

I do the same thing. Even asking him to help me find a hotspot or something good, if I’ve gone a good while, and not found anything. I generally talk to myself when I’m out in the woods detecting or in a field all alone. I tend to curse briars, limbs, anything that likes to knock my headphones off

I used to have a job that required me to spend many, many hours alone in the car. Talking to myself and the radio was my tonic for staying awake. I catch myself doing it now whenever I am alone. On the other hand, maybe I am just nuts?

Oh yea especially when I'm not finding much I'll start muttering, some of my personal favorites are "Come on Baby Daddy needs a Breast Plate" and "Big Silver, Big Silver....dang it find something!!"

Severely guilty for this. Hubby picks at me all the time and asks if it’s talking back lol

Also guilty. But, what I would like to know is, if a man talks while detecting and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?

I do it too. Mostly cursing at trash when it sounded like something good. Or saying "oh yeah" when it is something good.

It depends upon what I am finding. Sometimes my words are pleasant, sometimes not so much...

I say oh yea when I get a deep repeatable signal and then say some really bad words when its turns out to be a Sardine can a foot in the ground. then groan and moan to get back on my feet.
