Hi everyone!!
Just a quick intro here.

New to the world of detecting. Just got my machine for Christmas.
I am about an hour away from Pier 60 and about 1 hour 45 minutes from
the Brevard County Beaches. :wav:

I have only detected one beach so far and it was down the road from Pier 60
near Mandalay park. :skullflag:

The beach patrol didn't say anything to me as long as I stayed off the powered sand
near the dune's. Once I started near the dune's and really soft sand near where you first walk
in they started hovering. Never said anything tho.

I found 2 hairpins and 2 bottle caps a tent stake and paperclip. :unhappysmiley:
I probably dug about 12 targets. I felt awkward trying to keep my metal scoop away from
the detector and dropping stuff. The beach was crowded and I felt sorta in the way.

I know it must take time to become a more confident and coordinated hunter. So I am trying
not to be so hard on myself tho. Just need more hunts under my belt and I am sure things will
become more balanced and less awkward.

I just wanted to say hi and tell everyone I am excited to be here.
Looking forward to posting and learning all I can.

Happy Hunting,
Tealiish

Welcome Aboard Tealiish! Take a look at Sub-Forums: Florida for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to your state.

Thank YOU for the warm welcome!!~~
And link!!

You have a good machine for salt water hunting. Tampa is not far from the Gulf beaches. It is much easier there to hunt in the water . The State parks don't want you in the water. I believe the restrictions are,, water's edge to the edge of the dunes.
Good luck and welcome to Tnet.

Hello and welcome to the forum...

Welcome to TN and congrats on your new machine.

Enjoy the hunts, it gets better with experience.

Looking forward to photos of your finds!

Welcome to the forum from Massachusetts!

Welcome to TNET!

Many Happy Huntings. Personally, I hate beaches full of people and that is one reason I work dry sand only when conditions are right for when people will NOT be there - during high wind, cold, rain, early morning, late evening. Also why I prefer to work the water.

Welcome to TNet, from Nick in Connecticut! :hello:

Welcome from Virginia!
