Tandem bicycle

Here is a tandem bike that has duel steering. It was made by Coulson bike co. and made between 1931 through 1940. I wonder how the fight works out when one take over the other?

The rear handlebars are only for holding on so no worries about that person steering in a different direction than the driver. I had a Coulson Packard at one point, exact same color but not a tandem. Cool bike you have

Looks to be set up so that you could ride it solo from either seat.
