Tapping your gold pan??

Since I'm a new prospector (not miner, I was told you have to recover gold to be a miner, prospectors search) I've been watching a lot of youtube videos on panning. I've noticed a lot of people like to tap their gold pans. One guy held his hand to the side and tapped the pan against it, the Gold Cube guy used his "pat your head, rub your tummy" method. As I saw in both video's these methods were very effective.
So I turned to my buddie (who is a miner) and said, " Coool, do they sell the battery operated self tapping/vibrating pans on Ebay, I want one.
Well, he looked at me like I had 2 heads. "You have to tap it yourself, there is no vibrating gold pans"
Is that true?
I know it might be sacrilegious and take the fun out of it, but it just seemed logical to a newbie.

Thanks for the video's Viking but in the first video I couldn't hear the guy, or really see what he was doing. I saw the vibrator on the bottom, I envisioned it being on the corner where the bottom meets the side. Was there water in his pan (I couldn't tell).
I don't think I'd want my pan to vibrate all the time, just a simple "when needed" button will do.
And I haven't forgot about the tried and true method of tapping, but I don't think anyone makes a finger tapping machine.
The second video looked like vibrating classifier to me? I turned it off after my seizure...lol.
Thanks for the help, maybe I'll make one.

I hold one side still and vibrate the other back and forth, works well.

Tapping moves the gold in the direction of the tap.

If you are working down a pan and you've been stratifying
with the pan tilted towards the riffles, then tapping the riffle
side will slide any small gold right to the bottom edge of the
pan. This makes it A) Easy to find when checking for gold
in the pan, and B) by moving it to that bottom edge there
is less chance of washing the gold from the pan.

Give it a try next time you're panning ..no need for a vibrator..
just give it a few taps on the edge and you'll see the benefits.
