I finally purchased a Tesoro Tejon Black with a 5.75 concentric coil from Rusty Yesterday. It is due to be delivered 1 day before my 52nd birthday.
Couldn't be more excited.
I found my oldest coin recently. A 1926 Wheat penny in almost perfect condition just using a Garrett pinpointer in 1 ft of water. I think that I found about 28 coins in total including a 1964 Belgium 25 centime. Total detecting time was about 3 hours (just snorkle, mask and pinpointer).
Can't wait until I get my Tejon!
I have been doing nothing but scouring every video and article and forum comment that I could find.
Aug. 1st will seem like forever! 20170722_170424.jpg

Happy birthday, Brian, and congrats on the great BD present .

Two days ago I found my oldest wheat, and oldest of any kind.
1919. Fair condition, but date is legible.

I've read the Tejon goes super deep. S be prepared to find some more old wheats.

Thank you guys!
Nice on the 1919 find.
I was on the fence but decided I might want to lean towards the relic side of detecting.
So I will give the Tejon my best shot.

Good relic machine and good on deep coins too.
BTW - the 5.75c coil does help quite a bit should you regularly get into trashy spots. You'll just have to deal with bottle caps though; Tejon does like 'em. :tongue3:

My Tejon was dropped off at 3:15 today. I ran home to put it inside the house.
I checked the contents.
Grade A packing.
I feel privileged to have purchased it from Rusty Henry.

Hello Brian,

Happy Birthday and Congratulations on the Tesoro Tejon, I use it for relic (dig everything) hunting; never has let me down!

Thank you.
I ran a little late setting up the Tejon for the first time last night. It was dusk. The flying blood suckers were making it hard.
I found a nail and lump of coal.
My foam handle was shipped a bit low. I am having a hell of a time trying to move it up.
