No, I did not try this!!!! Maybe in late July, early August. LOL Haven't done much water hunting, but the idea of a powerful pinpointer sounds really good way to help with underwater target recovery. Like I said, I was able to detect most targets the other day before digging. Sure, deep targets will need some digging first. Don't forget when the beep tone goes to a solid tone, you are about one inch away from coin-sized targets. Kinda nice depth gauge.
