Teknetics Patriot is a F70??

Hello. I hear that the Patriot is a F70 in disguise. If so, why is it so much cheaper? If you look at sold listings the Patriot sells for half the price of the F70. What are the differences if any? Thanks

Faceplate color scheme is the only difference, the patriot is a f70 100%

Both are from First Texas, they have the F70 selling for less that the Patriot on their website. I bought a Patriot from first texas on ebay for $249 (back in 2023) and about 10 months later I talked a friend into buying an F70 from Fisher for $200 (it came with 3 coils from the manufacturer. I was thinking that they were discontinuing both models. I recon they changed there mind since there are more available on their website. I bought the patriot as a back-up/loaner since I mainly use an F75LTD. I agree with Peterw's comment.

First Texas makes Fisher, Technetics, and Bounty Hunter. When I lived down the street from the factory the engineer that designed the Gold Bug went to work there.
