Todays temperature in Orange County (and LA) California is raight at 89 degrees with 7% humidity due to annual Santa Ana Winds...Red Flag conditions for brush and forest fires.

One of the coldest days down here in Southern Alabama, 54

area of moderate to heavy snow overspreading northern Illinois... At 420 PM CST...radar and surface reports indicated an area of snow overspreading northern Illinois. The leading edge of this snow area ran from near Belvidere...to just west of Joliet...to just west of Kankakee...to Watseka. This snow area is moving to the northeast at 20 mph and will be overspreading the Chicago Metro area by 530 PM CST. The snow is then expected spread across Northwest Indiana between 530 and 630 PM CST. After onset...moderate...to occasionally heavy snow is expected to fall much of this evening. Snow may fall at the rate of an inch per hour at times this evening...with the most persistent snow expected over extreme northern Illinois...generally north of Interstate 88. Therefore...snow accumulations by midnight will range from around 5 inches north of Interstate 88...to 2 to 4 inches from Interstate 80 to Interstate 88 and up to 2 inches south of I-80.
