Some I dug in rock shelters in the mountains others I found along waterways. Some are pure white and seem soft others are real crystal like, like glass. One is a knife and still very sharp for quartz. Enjoyed seeing the quartz everyone else had posted so dug these out. I am thinking I have some more somehwere :dontknow:
Thanks for looking

Wow, those are beautiful! I haven't seen any quartz around here, mostly flint, but I would love to find one of those beauties!

Nice finds. Milky quartz is the only quartz we MIGHT l find visible flaking on. I have some, I'll try to post. It's so difficult to get the camera to show the flaking but will try..

Nice finds TN, Thanks for sharing.

Molly.

Nice finds Tn. In my picture is the bottom piece, a form of quartz? if it is its the only one I have found here in mizzou. Good luck and HH. JYD...

Thanks everyone
I have been enjoying everyone else posting quartz on here so I did some. It may be the bottom of the barrel on material but it sure is pretty. I am sure it was appreciated then as it is today.
JYD I have never seen that Grey color before. I would love to see a better picture of that random thrown in beautiful knapped piece above it though ?? lol Thats nice !

good looking quartz Tn., nice finds.

You inspired me. Almost bow season here. I got three extra doe tags so that gives me 2 bucks and 11 does to work towards.

Sounds like you're gonna need an extra freezer dude, that's a pile of tags. I'll send those points to you next week, so pm me sometime in a few days with an address to send them too. Should be 5 or 6, couple to practice / get familiar with. Later.

CANT BEAT THOSE QUARTZ POINTS! NICE STUFF!

Thank you scruggs and welcome to artifacts.

JD :

Your grey piece looks more like Talahatta quartzite.

In some parts of the country, people call quartzite "quartz," but they're two different materials.
