Dangit Larson..you have the site dont you!! I do notice in the first pic there appears to be a small point @ the top left along w/ another big piece of chert & maybe another quartzite blade underneath that.....amazing stuff

thank you Ivan,did you note the tally marks on the side of the arrow shaft wrench?
the large chert scraper is a very old culture piece because it has the graver tips on each side of the scraping edge
to the right of the chert scraper is a kinda neat little bifacial flaked oval agate knife and above it is a pretty jasper scraper, large and nicely flaked
on the bottom is a multi-use pottery modeling tool

thanks jpitt1970, I appreciate your observations and I see what you are seeing
there are so many pieces of material and flakes lying all over that it can really fool a person

Killer finds larson and great in situ pictures. Did you check out the tooth in the third picture to see if it was drilled or grooved on the end that is buried in the ground? I'm sure you did, but I just had to ask.

there are lots of those teeth laying around, I think they are elk and deer teeth
it's funny I have never seen even one with a hole or groove
I saw the ones you posted and I think they are really cool

Great stuff as usual!! I love your finds and wish I lived where you live. By the way... regarding the shell in the bottom photo... what is the story with that? If you tell me thats jewelery or something, I am going to kick the wall!! I see tons of those at my site...all with the same hole and just figured they were natural holes. Should I be picking these up?

airborne80, are you talking about these kind of shells?
if you are, yes these are ornaments
the holes are for mounting purposes
sometimes they have a slot cut in them which was done by a knife
why don't you post a picture please?
