A dear lady friend of 83 passed away about a year ago. Before she died she gave me a teroro silver sabre metal detector. She saw me out with my bounty hunter 202 and said she wanted some one who MD'ed to have the detector. I asume that it is an old machine. Does any one have a book on it. Is it only good for a backup? A gold detector

It should be a better machine than your BH, I'd use the BH as a backup. Here's the manual.

I am picking up a like new silver sabre II. Great machines very comfortable for all day hunts. They do not miss much. Enjoy it and when you find something think of your friend.

Nothing at all wrong with using a Silver Saber. It might be the first Tesoro that could find thin gold chains and tiny charms.
