Tesoo Tejon with rechageble batteries?

Re: Tesoo Tejon with rechargeable batteries?

I don't know about the max or minimum voltage for the Tejon but can tell you that rechargeable give some what poorer performance and when the power gets to a certain point they just stop. No run down time. So you start out with what you think is a good set of batteries and after a couple minutes they are spent. If you didn't bring fresh batteries with you your outta luck. Tesoro's don't do to well on Lithium batteries either.

Thanks Sandman its look like tesoro did some mistake in calculation, to purchase all the time battery except just recharge ir not very friendly user. ??? Thanks again Stasys

I think it was mainly for a consistant voltage in the standard batteries. Many times rechargables do not recharge the same everytime so they would give inconsitant results with someone bad mouthing the detector.

My Cibola did, and my DeLeon does run fine on NiMh rechargeables. Others have posted very good results and run times on NiZn rechargeables (AA only), as they have 1.6v rather than the 1.2v of NiMh.

It IS important to have a quality battery charger. I have good success with the Vanson/Titamium branded smart charger.
