trying to decide wich to buy, ive used a xlt for a few years and very familiar with that unit but sold it last year.
but was thinking on trying a different detector, was wondering if anyone could give me some input on a tesoro deleon.
like comparison in coin hunting, i like the less weight u deal with when using a detector all day.
why i was thinking about the tesoro.
how do they compare to in depth.

Welcome to the forum.........I see you posted this March 4 th. and nobody answered you yet and I somehow missed it, sorry.

The White's XLT is a very good unit and so is the Tesoro. The Deleon is equal in depth but is lots more easier to use. It lacks some adjustments that the XLT has as many are automatic. If you manually set something wrong for the area your searching you have handicapped yourself. The Deleon is very good on batteries, light weight as heck and very deep too. Plus you can't forget that live time warranty. Tesoro also offers many accessory coils for it.

I don't think you could go wrong with either unit. I have the XLT and know its capabilities, and I'm sure you know its a great machine. Never used any Tesoro detectors, but I know the guys that do use them swear by them. So that being said I think that these two machines are very similar and either one in the hands of a skilled detectorist will do just fine. Good luck in making your decision.

i've never used a xlt but have owned the m-6 and owned a deleon, 4 of them as a matter of fact and found many firsts with them if you mild ground go with simplicity go for the deleon!
