nice finds congrats HH

Wow. The morgan I can see..... awesome silver dollar there... What are the rest of them?... I can't see any detail. The one below the morgan looks like a counterfeit morgan.... I can see just a little bit of detail on it.

Thanks, I want to clean them up but want to know how. Right now they are in warm water. Someone give me a quick reply. All found in one hole.

Looks like you had a heck of a day, congratulations!

Do a quick search on this site or your search engine of choice and you'll soon have more info on cleaning than you know what to do with.
Most will recommend that you really don't clean them at all.

A warm soapy rinse and a week long bath in olive oil for the coppers is a good start though.

ONE HOLE?!?

I pretty much got skunked today but I can be happy for you at least. That's awesome!

dang! thats on heck of a spill!!

Check out the cleaning and preservation forum on this site... there's some pretty good threads posted there on cleaning.

Looks like an amazing spill you recovered. How to clean them depends on what they are. Can you give us a list of what type of coins they are.

Wow... all in the same hole? That's awesome. Might be a banner find depending on what those other coins turn out to be. They seem to be a little smaller than the silver dollars, and not silver... maybe counterfeit half dollars? I'm only guessing that due to the look of that one Morgan. It seems to be counterfeit. Cleaning a counterfeit coin might be a little tricky if that's what they are. If they're made of pewter, which a lot of counterfeit coins are, they will probably flake... so be careful.

Nice finds deb.

Those are flying eagle pennies it looks Like to the left! i swear i see eagles on them. Please better pics. don't clean them

If those are flying eagle cents then you have a amazingggg find.

They are soaking in olive oil today, I have some newer coins in the stash too. 1956 buffalo nickel. Some Canada pennies, just weird to be in the same hole for the history of,the area. But there was also an old house there we believe. So much to tell.
