Since my normal pickup bank didn't have any boxes today, I just asked for whatever rolls they could spare. I ended up buying 4 rolls of halves, 4 rolls of dimes, and 5 rolls of nickels. 2 of the rolls of halves, 3 of the dimes, and one of the nickels were all older looking, with paper on the outside and aluminum foil on the inside. All of the normal rolls were skunks, here's what I got out of the older rolls:

1936 Walker
6 x 1964 Kens
8 x 1964 Roosies
13 x 1940-1959 Nickels
3 x 1939 Nickels

I'll post pics later, the only camera I have is my phone so I'll have to find a scanner somewhere. Thanks to whatever grandma decided to dump her stash! :laughing9:

great finds

those interestingly wrapped coins are often the best.

your hard work and persistence sure paid off today. Bet it sure was nice just hauling a few cwr's on your bike insted of heavy boxes this time and still scoring a lot of keepers :)

Well I still had a box of pennies and 21 ikes from another bank but it's not that heavy. Nothing like biking to the sound of silver jingling around in your backpack. :D

My ultimate goal for my bike is a rack on the back that can hold 50 pounds, and another 25 on my back: 3 boxes at a time. But right now the boxes slide off the rack easily so I either need some bungee cords or I can weld my own lockable and removable basket to it.

You should go back to that bank and get the rest of ALL those kinds of rolls.
