Hello all. Happy Thanksgiving yesterday.
I got off of work early yesterday and had a few hours until I had to be at the Mother-in-laws to eat so I went down to the soccer field at the college I work at and tried to dig as many holes as I could. I mainly hit the side lines and around the bleachers. I filled my apron up 3 times with junk such as pull tabs, cans, batteries and etc. and made several trips to the garbage can. It started getting dark and cold so I left and went had some turkey and a drink. The first photo is an example of what was thown in the trash except for this particular pile which went home with me because I was to cold to go through it. The second photo is the interesting stuff exept for a few pieces of trash. All the coins were clad. I found a few pices of led and iron. But to me the neatest was the lead plate which I was hoping it had some writing on it but it didn't so it was neat up until I cleaned it up and the piece of copper on the bottom left side of the picture. It had a woven design. and about 1"x2" Not sure what it is but it's better than nails and bottle caps.
Anyway, I hope everyone had a great holiday.
