Today I got two boxes of dimes, the first was another skunk which I have been getting for about the past month but the second box which I got from a different bank produced a 1963, 1964 and a 1968 50% silver :hello2: . This is the second time I have done more than 1 box in a day, so out of 5000 coins 3 (0.06%) were silver. I got the bank to order 4 boxes of dimes for next weekend so I hope those produce some silver.

For me dimes are far better than quarters and it is impossible to search halves in Canada so if I want some free silver dimes are all I can do.

silver is silver man! great work:)

Helllllllllo...Canada!
I wish you the best. Keep at it because you know why?
It;s out there.
All the best

I have better luck searching dime bags from change machines vs. boxes. But that's only if the bank will "sell" you their bags. Some will, some won't even within the same chain. Anyway, my bag of $275 worth of dimes yesterday produced six sweet silvers:

1960 Canadian (80% Ag)
1950 x 2
1952 x 2
1962

Keep searching and I with you the best of luck :)

How long does it take you to search? I would think with your magnet method you can at least get thru them pretty quick?

Congrats on a a few silvers. Do you ever get silver quarters up there in the great white north?

It would be nice to be able to do bags but no banks in my city have coin counters, also no coinstars or any machine for coins. Good find.
Thanks rileyboy for the encouraging words.
Numismaniac By my standards I can go through the dimes fairly fast, I believe yesterday I was able to search and re-roll everything in about an hour. I have gone through about $1500 in quarters and haven't found a single one but read this old post of mine.http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,426605.msg3043974.html#msg3043974

I thought that in Canada, the sorting facilities cull the coins? The government melts them for money?

my rate on dime is 0.02% :)
