At sunrise this morning civilman and I got to the
1823 home I've hunt for a couple of months here
and there. I got no wheats and only one silver in
the past there.
Civil started out hittin' the wheats and cool whatsits.
It was not looking good for me. I was getting a bit
frustrated when I pulled out a cool old drawer pull.
We have not hit the barn because of the growth.
Waiting for fall. I decided to break off and head for
the barn.I found my first wheat on the way. With a
little burst I was ready for something good.
I got a signal between a dime and a quarter. I'll take
it. Dug a nice size plug.....nothing.....still in the hole.
I grabbed a handful from the bottom and saw the quarter.
It seemed a little big.................OH MY GOD!!!!!!!
It was a large cent. 183?. My first 1800 and my first
large cent.

WHAT A RUSH!!!

I came up with one more wheat, 1917.
THAT was a great day for me!

Hey Ty,

Very cool assortment of finds, and that LC is just beautiful. Seems like everyone is finding old coppers except for me! I think I'd have the weed-wacker gassed up for the next trip. 100 acres, and that soil is kind to copper! You've got a sweet spot there.

kool stuff ,congrats!

Neat finds, Ty!

The Coronet is super, what a thrill to find that.

Thanks for sharing.

Congrats on your first. I found my first largie only about a week ago. It took some rinsing and cleaning before I could see what it was though ::)
