This hobby is all about having fun. Me and the other Basstards of Bramble did a scouting mission yesterday morning. Charlrie shot a video of a copper being dug.

It was a successful enough scouting mission. I got a shoe buckle, roundballs, and flat buttons, and Charlie found a very nice seated CC dime. Bartek found some great flat buttons, injuns and Vnicks etc.

I dug 4 Indians myself and gave them to kids on my walk out. Ya gotta have a good time

The ground was like concrete, mine was almost like digging on the beach haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, couple easy stabs, loosen up the sand and dig with my china doll hands (only because Abe made fun of my bear claws, he made me wear gloves!)
I'm going back to that manicured site of mine first light tomorrow morning. I got some promising farm fields to hit this winter. If this place I was at today pans out, I might get some other really good sites. Looks good so far.

That new site sounds great. I tried ringing you tonight but I guess you're getting some (much needed) beauty sleep. Lol.

Good luck

That looks like a successful scout Steve. Me and BzyBee did a scout on Sunday and found a very large homeless man sleeping beside his shopping cart right in the area we wanted to check.

Yep, believe it or not we had the same problem on a hunt a month or so ago. A tent in the woods surrounded by homeless junk. The way I look at it is they're away from Others for a reason. I always give a wide berth

Way to go Scrappy! Looks like you guys had a cool hunt! Seated is always a great find, and giving those IHP's to the kids will hopefully spark so interest to create the next generation of treasure hunters!

Congrats and HH

Nice to see the B.O.B.s are back in business. Awesome scores, I felt like I was there with ya'll when I watched the video. Looks like great times with more great digs to come.
You guys are a crazy lot. Giving away coins that I hope to dig. I know how you guys think. "If it ain't colonial, it ain't _ _ I T"

Good Luck on the next adventure.

Best regards

The way I look at it with those Indians is either they can sit in a coffee can or perhaps, with some luck, will get some kids interested in history.

Cheers

How's that pinpointer Charlie sent back?! For the record I don't give away barber quarters he does!!! Lol

Some great finds made there, just like us, your ground looks like you can use some rain, you guys did awesome!

The Pro Pointer is working fine and came back just in time. My Carrot crapped out, and I do not like to hunt without a pin pointer. I used my Sunray probe on the F75 as a substitue, it works, just not the same as what I am used to though. Charlie is a character, he paid handsomely for the 9 volt battery.

Sent the Carrot off today for warranty repair.

WOW Scrappy, what a noble thing to do with your IHPs. Someday I hope to be able to give my finds away but for now I just can't. :notworthy: :headbang:

Holy crap...what a day! You guys are into it big time! Nice going to all!

Nice finds guys

Cool video too. Looks like you guys have a blast when out hunting

Great to see you guys having a good time. Also feel better knowing that I'm not the only one trying to chip through rock hard ground! Congrats on the finds!

Nice finds! Congrats!

I'm adding Steve and the Basstards to my playlist. Great recoveries and good times!

Well I know Charlie's story, he said he put barber quarters and dimes in there, and SLQ's. Lol

Never a dull moment. We sound like the beginning to a joke: there was a "polish guy", a friggin' guy from Staten Island, and a dirty sailor...

Lol, and yep, I'm considering bringing blasting gel on the next hunt!

I just watched the video... reminds of our springtime visit. You boys make me laugh!
