The Bean field gives up a seated halfdime and more.

Greetings friends.
The corn is getting so high the corn field sites will have to wait until after the harvest so
I went back and pounded the bean field this week Where the 1870 farmstead was.
I got lucky and found some good targets. Hope you enjoy the pics.

I still don't understand how you guys can get so many good finds in those fields!? There must have been slaves living there in the 1800's or white people or something. Man it sure amazes me what comes out of those fields!!! :thumbsup:

The trick is to find where the long gone buildings stood and pound that area.

Thanks Ian-- :thumbsup:----The trick is to look at the old platt maps and find a location where a farmhouse and barn were in the 1800s. You have to look for remnants of the old buildings to locate the spot. [square nails, bits of glass]
If you just randomly hunt a field you prolly won't find any good targets unless you are very lucky.
