I'll never forget all the buzz from the girls in school about the Beatles will be on The Ed Sullivan Show that night. We always watched that show together as a family. My dad had this look of discuss on his face and kept saying omg as we watched the show that night. I really don't recall what I thought of it all, other than I don't remember being overly thrilled about all that hype over the Beatles. Then later on the rumors started going around the Beatles said they were better than Jesus. That sure had a profound effect on their popularity.

I remember it like it was Last Night , Which is Odd , With My Memory.
My sister was all Excited, we all Stayd up Late.

All Throught the day I was thinking Something Like This with guitars and drums

When they came on I Enjoyed the Music , went to bed hearing the music in my brain, but was still not convinced
they were anything special.

When a Hard Days Night Came Out , I Went to the Tremont Theatre to see it, And enjoyd it And the beatles More . Thought it was a Cool Movie !

I was Disappointed by Help . Only remember watching it Once

I Hated Yellow Submarine even More (cartoons )

I do remember wanting some beatle boots, cuz I saw a kid who had some. I never did get me a pair, because my allowance wasn't gonna cover the cost of things like that and shoes are what your parents would by maybe once a year before returning to school after the summer and it wasn't gonna be any beatle boots you'd get.

I watched that show and thought Rock 'n Roll was dead; thankfully, it isn't.

Remember that childrens show Ringo hosted?

[jeff of pa]

I would have Been 29 i n '84 no childrens shows here

Ringo Starr is best known for hosting and starring as Mr. Conductor in the PBS children's series Shining Time Station from 1989 to 1990. He also served as the original narrator for the UK children's show Thomas & Friends (then Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends) for its first two seasons (1984–1986).

I do Remember him as Frank Zappa in 200 Motels

and as a Drummer for a Band Known as the Beatles

go back and listen to Helter Skelter... crank it up, that song rocks!

[jeff of pa]

I Like the Whole White Album
was a Masterpiece imo

I can sing along to every Beatles tune, I can't say that for anyone else, and not because I was a superfan either.... it is just that the tunes are distinctive and you can UNDERSTAND what is being said.... try that with CCR, (who I love by the way)

haha, yeah I'd get a chuckle out of it watching my kids watching him. They had no idea he was the Beatles drummer.
