My 11 yr old son asked me for a dollar yesterday to go get himself a soft drink from the gas station down the street. I threw him two halves out of the cull pile, and he takes off on his bike.

Comes back in 20 minuts later, and says "gimme a five dollar bill, and don't ask why."... Well.... Alright.

He leaves again, and comes back and hands me a 63 Franklin, and a 64 quarter! Lol... The teller saw him pay with the clad halves, and showed him those two coins. Kid picked em both up for $5! Lol...

You raised that boy right!

That's awesome!!!

Wow! Thats a cool story right there!

He's no longer a boy after this, he's a man. Congratulate him, and let him keep the silver. There are some people who are never introduced to silver, and consequently never become men in today's society.

Nice! What would you do if next time he asks you "dad give me $100 and don't ask why!"

At that rate of return, he's got the key to the vault! Lol...

I do need to teach him the little trick of "Hey, let me replace that old dirty money of yours with this nice, clean, NEW money!" Lol..

Thats cool

just keep stacking, just keep stacking, stacking stacking stacking

If your son happens to be a Boy Scout tell him he's to get his blue card signed allowing him to officially start his coin collecting merit badge. I'd call that off to a good start.

Smart kid and I am sure both of you will be sharing this story back and forth for the next 50 years. Very cool

This made me smile!
