The burnt forest

Took this as I headed up to a jobsite up towards Cameron pass. This charded forest is the result of the Cameron Peak fire of November 2020. The fire put the completion of tunnel repair back a few month and as a result of this devastating event the work will now continue though into May of this year.

I read that 2020 had the largest number of fires in decades. The 2020 season was a record-setting one for the state of California and the United States as a whole.
