The Dumbest $50 Bucks I’ll Ever Find

My routine is solid.
As I enter the store, I make a bee line to the Coinstar, sometimes I score, sometimes I don’t.
Then I’ll glance at the dollar credits remaining in the Lottery scratch ticket machine...
Maybe only 3 times I’ve seen a dollar or two waiting to be spent.

But today, I noticed a scratch ticket, sitting in the dispenser tray....that’s weird.

It was a fresh 5 dollar scratchie, it got left behind by the last customer.

So I snagged it, looked around, and I felt myself being ignored by perfect strangers (nothing unusual really) into my back pocket it went.

I get to my truck, the anticipation was palpable...

Winner!!!!!

Got one the other day as well, when I went to check it it had already been cashed. Hope not the case with yours!

The woman at the store explained to me....... If you give take a winner to the counter, they keep it, if you scan it at a ticket vending machine it credits the money to the machine and the ticket is no longer any good but rather than throw it away, some people just leave it there.

I usually pay for and take my scratch off tickets when they are dispersed.
I guess the people in Fort Myers are wealthy. I would have donated it to a local church or to the Jeff Gordon Go Fund Me Page.

I recently saw a video about tickets like this witrh multiple winners...the guy said if you find one like this...buy the rest of the tickets in the bundle...he got multiple winning tickets from that same bundle...

Nice score! I see discarded lottery tickets all the time, but no winners yet.

There are serious players who have a lottery app on their phone, and just scan the code at the lower right to see if the ticket is a winner. I've found tickets that were unscratched, but tossed aside for that reason. Naturally, I checked, but no luck.
