The farm fields are starting to open being plowed now a few good finds .

A friend stopped by my place and said the potato farmers are diggin taters did i want to try a short hunt before dark set in i said heck yea !! grabbed my gear a soda and drove a mile to the farm , i found a few good finds
1905 V Nickle in pretty good shape for a coin in the ground 100+ years and a Buffalo nickle no date ,some kind of thimble copper ? a tiny flat button and to my SURPRISE !!! a huge heavy flat thick coin NOPE darn it was a piece of lead fooled the heck out of me :laughing7: not bad for a short hunt before dark going back later after Johnny plows up a few long rows of potato,s a very large field , in the past i have found lots of KGII coppers and lots of old buttons . Great finds. The corn in our area is starting to be harvested and can't wait to start hitting the fields again.

Hey Buck i took a few more photo,s might be a thimble i saw one once found in England with holes in it but did not have the rim on the bottom Jim
 

never saw a thimble like that! looks like you have a good place to hunt!
