After I clean my coinage, I like to pop the change into soda machines and retrieve a clean dollar coin. I have found that it is a very convenient way to keep tabs and count all the clad that begins to accumulate. It is also fun to hoard treasure.

Wow, Looks like you got yourself something good! I like your idea of exchanging your clad for "Golden Dollars" Congrats!!

Good idea but where do you find a machine like that?
None in Houston that I've ever seen!!!

You can just go to the bank as well. If the clad is not wasted, they'll exchange it for ya.

I happen to live in an apartment complex that has newer soda machines in every laundry room. Most machines that take dollar bills will also reject a dollar coin. sometimes I will take all my cleaned coins to a local school I chose to hunt that day using the schools machines. I think I just like dealing with one coin better than tones of different ones.

I'm too poor to hang onto money like that!! Kudos to you though! ;D

Brilliant! I'm going to do that someday!

Now that's just a great idea! I save all of my clad to finance any future repairs I might have to make on my detector. It'd be easier to have dollar coins though! Just roll 'em up and save 'em somewhere. Nice!

Buckleboy

I turn in my clad for bills and then go down the street to the local coin shop and exchange the dollors for nice old coins. I spent $15.00 of it last week on a 22 peace dollar.
