Another dry & mild day but super sticky mud!
Only took us just over 5 hours of the Mega Grid to finish ''The Hill'' area.
Got 61 buttons today, the most for sometime.

2 Roman Coins - 1 Good One
Top handle of a Seal Top 17th C Spoon
1772 Guinea Coin Weight
Counter-Stamped Geo Halfpenny

Near blank Victorian Sixpence

Today we were lacking the Quality, with 3 broken Saxon items, & low grade hammered;
Saxon Strap-end bit
Saxon Tweezer bit
Half a Saxon Stirrup Mount
Blank Hammered Penny
Broken Hammered 6 Pence of Lizzy I
Henry VII Sovereign Penny

That's a pile of buttons Cru. Both my D1 and D2 have excelled at sniffing out those types smaller midrange conducting targets. What is the lead-colored pencil tip shaped object in the second pic?

Its a Lead Pencil, hard to date, often thought to be used by stone masons.

That's a pile! The coin, 3rd pic down, left side, almost looks cartoonish....not the greatest of hammered but still hammered!

Unreal on the amount of buttons recovered...I think my heart would jump each time thinking it was a coin...

Always a joy to read your posts!

Fantastic finds! Congrats

Still a really nice showing of finds, I'd be happy.
A good looking Roman and some silver, though I'm kind of liking the counterstamped copper sitting there also.
Well done
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, and your Dad, Crusader.

Glad to see You out even with the recent rain!
