Well here we set in Southern Indiana. Ice - snow and sleet.. Howerver I was able to do a little
hunting before all this, was able to get out with my BH 505...and hit the camp ground and school
yard. As usual came away with some clad - some junk. but his time dug up a high school class ring
that looked as if it had been in the ground for a long while. After a little clean up. It shows a Grad. date of
1983. Lookes like it belonged to a young girl. And since the snow and ice will keep me inside, looks like
I will be during a lot or research and try to find a way to get this class ring back to this Young Lady who I am
sure by now will be surprised to have it again.

Fred

Nice finds ... good luck on the ring return ... congratz ~ Jimmy

Nice find! It is a BIG credit to you that you're taking the time to track down the owner. There is Nothing better than seeing the look on someone's face when you return their ring. Good luck on your quest.

Cool deal!! At least you got out...GL on finding a owner for the ring...You got my respect.

Like you, I was out before the snow yesterday here in Utah, found 42 coins in the grass at 55f yesterday morning, then wham 9 inches of new snow....Kane 23

That cent, second row from the bottom and the second coin from the right, the one that looks wet. Is that a Wheatie?

GREAT keeper on the ring! I hope you find her! She'll be so suprised! :o

Congrats! Nana :)

Nice haul Fred! At least your not in NW Indiana like me :(

Fred, Where abouts in Southern IN are you from? I'm from Bedford originally now living in Indy!

Nice finds and first, congrats on getting out to do a little digging, secondly congrats on finding some gold, hopefully you'll make someone a little happier!! Eastern indiana has been a little frozen, was hoping to get out into the woods, but longer work hours and a four year old demanding attention has kept my detector on standby!!

Class ring Update !!!!!

Can't Tell you how excited I am about this Post. about 3 weeks ago I posted some pics and a note concerning a recent finds
that included a class ring for a girl who may have graduated in 1983.. And with all the snow and ice here in Indiana was able to
do the research to try and find the owner. since I found this ring in Alabama and I'm in Indiana made the research even more of
a task.

Here's the story, this evening we talked to the Father of the young girl who owned the ring. To our dismay we found out this
lady had passed away a few years ago of Cancer. We even talked to the Sister of this lady and and she described the ring to a
Tee and also the approx location where it was lost. So we are very confident we have the right family.

We call the father back who is so excited to be able to give this ring to his granddaughter. I offered to mail it to him tomorrow
or meet up with him when we go back to Alabama in two weeks. He asked us to meet up with him in Birmingham when we get
there...

So this has really been a good experience and can't wait to hand this ring to her Father so he can give it to her daughter
