well,

I hit the spot last night after work. I concentrated on digging deep iffy signals and found my share of deep rusty nails and a 1938 Merc at 8" no bottle caps or Wheaties but at the end found some clad :icon_pirat:

Hey Bud! I forgot to mention, I had a good deep signal yesterday and dug about 13" before I gave up on it. I had already past black dirt and was digging on sand :icon_scratch: the signal was still strong :tard: I have to go back and investigate and I might need this baby to pull that target out!! :icon_pirat:

I went for a short hunt at a local park in Hammond. :icon_pirat: no silver but it's always good to find wheaties and a 1897 Indian!

Noticing that you're getting a lot of nails with your Minelab, I thought you might find this info of interest if you haven't already seen it...
http://www.treasuregizmo.com/getstarted.htm
and the rest of his links for tips & settings are also very helpful.
Some of it applies more to the Minelab XS but I think if you read it all it will help - especially with the nails.
I wish I had seen this info when I got my Explorer XS years ago - it wouldn't have been so frustrating.

Those Indian Heads and silvers you got look awesome!

I was out in the woods this past weekend and found 2 Merc's and 8 wheats. The oldest wheats I found were 1917, 1919, 1930 d, 1938, then all in the 40's.

Twistedd found a silver quarter and a merc, and a 1916 d wheat.

When I get home I am gonna finnish up filming the video and put it up on youtube.

On that SE, does it have a "Fast Sweep" setting, or do you always have to go super slow with it???

Hi TF,

The SE has a Deep and Fast setting but I don't use either, I just go Low and Slow!.
