At the end of the discussion, a resolution is to be issued, and the optimistic members of the European Parliament hope that the Russian authorities will be compelled to return the Romanian treasure or inform the European and Romanian parties about the fate of the treasure.

Interesting. Lots of luck to them. That gold is long gone. Stalin would never have kept it somewhere safe.

I doubt if the Russians will honor any request or demand from the EU.

Everyone stole land and wealth from everyone else in those days.

The British Museum would pretty much be half empty if they had to return everything they took form others over the last several centuries.

It's a nice thought, anyways.
