The keeper of 2010

I think that I'm probably done for 2010 but might find a something else but I'm going to call it. This is most everything that I bought in 2010 that I kept. Most everything is from Southern Illinois, Southern Missouri, and Southern Indiana. There are a few more piece in drawers but these are my favorites. Hope every one has had a great year.

I do surface hunt some but not as much as I used to. I don't live in one of the most productive areas of Illinois either. I found about a dozen mostly whole points this year. I found those farming or walking the dog. I spend most of my time hunting down collections and pieces that have been lost over the years. Almost every piece in this picture was purchased from a family member of the finder, the finder or a collection that had been but away for years. Thank you all for the comments. Mooch

Thanks mooch. I figured you probably still hunted some. I wish I had the cash to do what you are doing. I would be buying up some local collections myself.

Quite the pile of keepers there Mooch. That Ross and Dalton are something else. Looks like you've had a good year. I was thinking about doing the same sort of thing with keepers for the year.

On a side note, can you put me down for a table for you and Bobby's show in Edwardsville in March?

I'll try and get some pictures of the celt soon. It was found in Pemiscott Co, Missouri and has been very hot at some point and time. It has several potlids on it. The red and purple circle is a really odd blade from the St. Louis area. It is super thin and well made but the unusual thing is that it is bevelled on all 4 sides at different angles and they all show use wear.
