Today I decided to take my White's MXT to an old park. Upon arrival I noticed park employees working near the play ground. They had removed some sod and dug a hole in the center. I went over to talk with them, and found that they were about to plant a tree. I ask if I could hunt the area where the sod had been removed and I was given permission. I had just made a few sweeps when I located two targets just inches away from each other. One target indicated quarter and the other dime. I dug both targets recovering a 1942 silver quarter and a 1934 mercury dime. Both coins showed wear but other than that they were in good condition. I don't dig alot of silver so I was pretty excited with the recoveries. After making those recoveries I continued with my hunt, finding some clad,a junk ring, Key, charm, gold dollar, and a cool Elvis Presley photo button. All in All not a bad day. Thanks for looking and HH, Dennis in Idaho
