I've been away for a while, but got back in Singapore last week. I went out t the beach on Thursday night, Friday morning, and Friday night during low tides. Nothing has changed about this place! Here are my finds from these three short trips to the beach, totaling about 8 hours of searching. I used the White's V3i with the standard 10" DD coil, programmed for the wet salt beach. 8)

A shot of the gold and silver jewelry. The gold is mostly 20 & 22kt, while the two off colored pieces at the top are 18 and 14 kt. The silver is all sterling.

Close up of the gold.

Close up of a unique silver find. I assume that is a black crystal inside.

Green gem. I'll have to have someone examine this one and the red one to ID them for me.

Red stone.

Little diamond in a unique shaped band. The half circle appears to be designed that way, unless this was part of a two ring set. The other side shows no damage and is smooth.

Little gold leaf with what may be Buddha. The back has the 22kt stamp.

I now have an "S" to go with my "J" and "M". I wonder if I'll be able to spell a word before I leave Singapore?

Here's some of the non gold/silver rings.

My first copper ring, if that is what it is.

And the typical coin hall. These are all Singaporean. The exchange rate is $1 US = about $1.22 Singaporean.

The red is corral and the green is tourmaline or possibly a columbian emerald (looks too clean) for this though quite the haul of GOLD :o

Hi P K, another great haul you have found, what an outstanding spot to detect!
Not certain but imo the black item in the silver tube is probably black coral. Nuggy

Wow with the price of gold you scored big time!

Holy Jewelery!!!
some nice stuff you dug over there :o
Congrats

Ever have any problems with the authorities over there while detecting the beach? :icon_sunny:

Never. I had checked with the police, customs, and licensing dept before I started searching here. I had to explain what I wanted to do, as these people (that drive around in Lanberginis and Ferraris) have never seen or heard of metal detecting, except in the case of land mines. I carry a letter from the Police Commander that states that the metal detector is legal just in case, but I have never had to use it. Vandalism is a serious offense here, with caning and steep fines as punishment. Thus, I do not dig up lawns or other land - I just stay on the beach! It's really crazy in that you buy anything in Singapore, with a first rate economy and hundreds of modern shopping malls that would put most American cities to shame. But no one sells metal detectors!

So my co-worker and I are the only ones here searching the beaches. I suspect that all the gold we have recovered comes from less than 1% of the beaches here. We've only looked in one small area, and keep going back to the same area over and over again. It keeps replenishing itself faster than we can take it out.

well if you ever get tired of having all that gold just laying around, I'd be glad to give some of it a home ;D I wish the beaches here would produce like that!

That is just unreal. That site is a dream. Do you estimates on the amount of gold/silver that you have pulled out of there? That is just a fantastic collection of jewelry you have there!

:hello2:

Awesome. I guess not alot of people metal detect in Singapore? That's a fantastic haul of Gold. What does the Emerald/Tourmaline Gold Ring say inside the band? It looks like an older type ring. Very impressive digs.

I love reading your post. Thats a haul with gold and silver what it is. I look forward to the next post.

The silver thing with the black tube inside is a mezuzah (sp?) pendant. Some kind of Jewish thing. I only know because I found one last year.

I vote for either a dragon or phoenix, probably a dragon, I can't see the whole design. I see the same thing on ebay all the time, only much thinner and tackier. You have a nice one, so the stone may be nice too.
Neat finds!!

Hey John. This was found on Siloso Beach (on Sentosa). I have also found a lot on Palawong beach at Sentosa too.
Check out my last posting to see even more.
