It's amazing how that company has grown... :occasion14:

Hi guys this has been floating around recently. No news of release date though. Very interesting.
Only works for Australian gold!!

It has hasn't it. Iv been waiting for this thing to be released for ages. Hope its as good as their other stuff. 😃👍

Hi guys, so Nokta is saying it has "Active Magnetic Sensing"
I won't pretend to know what that is. After searching it may just be another term used in PI detector technology and they are using the term to identify their brand as Minelab has used certain terms in the past.
Is, are Nokta bringing something new to the table with PI gold detectors or just using the term to be an identifier for their brand?
There are some cluey ones here that may be able to shed some light on it like
@Carl-NC
?

I don't know anything about it, but all induction metal detectors use active magnetic sensing. It's just how they work.

Hi thanks, yeah I read that about them. So just a name they're giving it I guess rather than something new. Bit like the various things Minelab called new release PIs over the years I suppose and Whites Time Delay Instrument.
Here's hoping it comes out sooner than later and works ok.👍

Oscillating magnetic field to identify objects and detect magnetic field changes.
I don't think this is new for active magnetic sensing. Maybe some information will come out?

Hi, yeah wish they'd hurry up though. Im getting gold detecting withdrawals 😂

Nokta just posted in another forum this morning saying the gold version is coming first and it is to be compared to the very best and most expensive gold pi machines on the market. she said it is not to be compared to the cheaper pi machines. apples to apples. it will be fully waterproof and weigh 4.6 lbs. it will come with 2 coils and a backpack and bungee system 👍👍👍

Read on another site Nokta says its the same weight as a GPX6000, 4.6lb.
There was an odd part where they said based on performance not to compare theirs to cheaper lower performing Pis but to the dearest benchmark ones.
A hint its going to be giving things like 5000s, 6000s and 7000s a run for their money? They said too the Gold version will be released before the coin/relic one.
Shame they don't give this site any info. :dontknow:

I've worked in the electrical field for 40 years or so and I've worked with electrical sensors similar to this on production conveyors in automobile car frame plants. this is a digital device used in signaling a metalic device is present . It's been 14 years that I've been retired and NOT worked in electronics after retirement . Obviously Nokta has a reason to keep this quiet to the public in a proprietary part to keep their research developments secrete. BUT after looking over what has been presented on these posts, I think this device they are using will show it's magnetic composition as well as it's approx. depth . They use a lot of mumbo jumbo to keep us from knowing all about it for a reason! unless I had one in front of me to check out the usage of how they use the components with a Oscilloscope , I'm only guessing BUT I don't think I'm far off !I think this could be a handy idea ! I can't afford one anyway ! :coffee2:

On the gold version , GOLD isn't magnetic BUT it does have a specific frequence in which it will respond to . and depending on the golds purity and associated impurity's (silver ,ETC.) it will have a slightly different frequency ! ALL KNOWN ELEMENTS KNOWN ON EARTH HAS ITS OWN UNIQUE FREQUNCY ! EVEN CASH

Great, thanks for that input. Here's hoping they bring something new to the table. 👍
