The Nightmare That’s Coming To America

Wednesday, December 18, 2013 13:53

By Lisa Haven

According to PollingReport.com 64% of the population believe that the most eminent threat to our country is the growth of our government. Additionally, 58% believe that Washington DC has far too much power; of which I have to agree.

Institutions

In fact the country’s largest employer is the US government. They are hiring more people today, than any other time is history, which is why we see a massive surge of growth in the government. This ever-growing system gains enormous power over virtually every aspect of our lives: education, health care, transportation, energy, disaster relief, welfare, commerce, work and salary rules, and on and on. Not only that but the media has become government watch dogs, the justice department infringes on citizens rights, the IRS targets conservatives, the NSA illegally breaks the first and fourth amendment by spying on its citizens and rants about it; corruption is so widespread that it has become the norm. The tragic part is many Americans are so apathetic that they don’t even realize what is going on because it doesn’t affect them directly.

This is not the America our Founding Fathers envisioned, rather it’s an America headed for a nightmare…

The massive growth of our government is causing many small business to close their doors forever. As a result government jobs increase and the overall middle class become poorer. Thus making America more controllable because they are owned by the government. Once a majority of the people are employed through them, they can garnish wages at will. After all if most people work for them, there will be no competition, so who’s to say they can’t lower the wages on the masses. No one! That’s the point. History proves that this has happened before and is happening again. Take Greece for example, they are falling apart financially and the massive size of the government has alot to do with it.

Furthermore, big government is the enemy of liberty. Government actions that go beyond its defensive, rights-preserving functions necessarily entail some form of coercion that diminishes the freedom of people. The bigger the government gets, the more it liberty is reduced.

James Madison….

“If Congress can employ money indefinitely to the general welfare, and are the sole and supreme judges of the general welfare, they may take the care of religion into their own hands; they may appoint teachers in every State, county and parish and pay them out of their public treasury; they may take into their own hands the education of children, establishing in like manner schools throughout the Union; they may assume the provision of the poor; they may undertake the regulation of all roads other than post-roads; in short, every thing, from the highest object of state legislation down to the most minute object of police, would be thrown under the power of Congress. … Were the power of Congress to be established in the latitude contended for, it would subvert the very foundations, and transmute the very nature of the limited Government established by the people of America.” –James Madison

This is exactly what we see happening today….

You know accusing people of "trolling" as I have seen you do several times is against Tnet rules. Now, play nice.
Well I've seen OB accuse people of lying and get away with it because he claimed he didn't "call" them a liar but point taken. It's an odd rule though to say the least. Not only allowing trolling but also protecting those who do it is just weird to say the least but I don't make the rules. On at least 2 other forums I belong to "trolling" and "purposely creating drama" are both against the rules themselves and have resulted in people being banned many times. And I started a thread a couple weeks ago myself as a joke to see who would bite and was even honest enough to attach a pic of a guy fishing so there would be no confusion over why I was posting it and it got canned and I got a PM from a mod telling me to "play nice". So not naming names, but why are some allowed to troll day after day, post after post, purposely create drama and generally just take a dump on every post they don't like, with no repercussions ? One guy is famous for just randomly posting snide little one liners and then disappearing yet dosn't have to answer for it. I'm willing to play this game any way the others want to but consistency in how we play would be nice. Your thread about the Duck Dynasty dude was intentionally made to create drama. You even admitted it. Yet there you are complaining that guys are being rude... Give me a friggen break man..

In the end, we all answer for our actions one way or another. Sometimes, one's life is its own reward.

:hello:
if a "snide one liner" gets the message across...why type anything else...
mission accomplished...

A yankee who moves South because of the warmer climate and friendly people, and decides to stay. (As opposed to regular yankees who return home because they like crappy food and weather cold enough to cause death)... is called what?

Blah blah blah. Get over yourself. The rules are the rules and Tnet is not "2 other forums".

You seem to take things even more personally than I do. Ask anyone here, that is quite a feat.

If you two keep trying to get my threads closed,it will result in me making it my lifes work to get a certain other thread closed, you know I can do it too.I dont think you want that now do you?

"I know you are but what am I"?

This isn't middle school. Grow up.

Cause Death??? Look's like that Al gorski book you keep by the commode would be better off wiping your butt with it, then reading it:laughing7:

End the personal wars and insults or I will.... Applies to both sides.
