I just yelled out "BOOM".. 18kt with what I hope are real diamonds. I really thought this field was done and now gold ring.. this hobby is crazy.. i'll be back at it again, for sure..

Very nice ring, and I'll add that gold can ring up anywhere from like 38-75 on the AT Pro depending on the size and purity of the gold!

That ring is a beauty ! Congrats
Glen

Thats a stunner of a ring. Boy I hope those diamonds are real. I am not so sure with the way the stones are set in the ring. Please keep us updated. If they are real then you have my banner vote.

Amazing ring, I'm sure the stones are real. Nice sized too. You have over $1000 in stones alone. Not sure they are diamonds though, maybe another type of precious stone. I'm still sure they are precious, generally stones in 18k are real. Amazing ring, congratulations. I'd get it appraised and insured. I'd say at the very least $2000 "scrap", $4k-$6k retail, depending on the stones could be much more. :dontknow:

Keep @ it and HH !! :laughing7:

Wow! Probably worth up to a grand if the stones are real! Awesome find!

Thats a pegger on the Surprise-Meter I bet!!!! Waiting to see what the verdict on the stones is, if real I will vote banner on it !

thanks guys I was dumb founded when I saw the gold in the plug and when I took it out I sat down and yelled "boom". lol. gonna have the stones checked today. i'll keep you posted.thanks again.

Nice stuff right there bud, congrats, how come you haven't taken it to a jeweler yet?

just found it yesterday . going today some time to have it checked. how you been bud?

68 should be par for high karat gold. My 22 karat ring comes up as zinc on my T2 which is a 78. Congrats to you

Now that is a beautiful ring. It goes to show you that you just never know what is going to turn up. Congratulations and best of luck with the appraisal!

That is one sweet chunk of a gold ring with diamonds! Awesome! And congrats!

Congratulations,.. thats a sweet find.. get that ring checked out... do you have a "cleaned post pic"...

spede777. I have some "cleaned" pics on the second page of this post.

Holy crap thats an expensive ring to lose, congrats on a sweet score!

well si2 diamonds color d. they wanted to take the stones out to weigh and give a better appraisal but also wanted $50 to do it and told me I could come back tommorow. he told me he would not charge me the $50 if I agreed to sell it to him for $3200. I got a bad taste in my mouth at this point and said I'd have to think about it . he was not a happy camper. lol.. took it to a local pawn shop after that and the guy flat out offered $1800. I think I will hold on to it and take it to some other place before I think about selling it. all in all I'm very happy..

So they are real , it looked genuine from how they where set. Older rings tend to have heavy duty settings to hold the stones in!you where so smart to have a bad feeling ( he would have switched stones)First jeweler sounds like a crook! Research the makers mark you'll be able to date it ! You may be able to increase the value by linking it with a well known European or American maker if you intend to sell it , sell directly to an individual who wants it for jewelry if the first guy offered 3800- it's prolly worth 6 - 7k maybe more , don't let them have it overnight and don't let it out of your sight! Diamond tester on amazon for under 20- great find even without the diamonds
