The occasional auction find

I have a local auction around me that every now and then you can spot some gold items that they missed because they’re unmarked here is my recent find 18k with small diamonds folding opera glasses total weight 24 g so I’m guessing from 10 to 13 g of gold cost $68

Yes I tested it and 22 karat acid test did not take away The streak so I figured it was platinum so I took it to a local jeweler and they tested it also but said it was 18 karat i’m going to take it to my scrap guy I deal with and he has one of the x-ray machines and I’m gonna have him tested and see what he says.

Those look like they are well made. Really cool find. Because of this site, I took another look at some old glasses I had and found an unmarked 10k pair. Now I always buy old glasses if I can them cheap enough.
