Sorry the pictures aren't great but here is the totals from the shore spot me and a friend found that had button and coin eyeball finds plus many more with the detectors. In the end we got 23 large coppers,22 flat buttons and 2 silver coins.
Most of the coppers are George ii and George iii half penny's but there was a few Nova Scotia thistle tokens and conder tokens. Also a few British coins that looked just like half penny's but a lot thicker. One silver is a half reale that took a beating in the shore but I'll gladly take it. Only thing to do now is dig those iffy signals and check the beach at low tide. Most of the coins turned out in great shape with dates. Thanks for looking!

I absolutely would give that s lemon juice bath and see if it lightens up a bit. What a spot man

Shore silver coins can be pretty resistant, but worth a shot.

I can wait to have the time to go through the coins properly. I took a random one out and gently rubbed where the date would be and this 1770 easily appeared...

Just incredible! More! More! We want more!

OH, the suspense!
What a crazy haul...

IP, can't believe you picked out that Connie from those pics.

I gave it a lemon juice bath and noticed a improvement but it's still dark. How long do you think it would be safe to go in the lemon juice or should I just quit while I'm a little ahead?

So when you're trying to pull as much detail as possible in a picture as possible use a dark room And I prefer a red background. Place the item on the red cloth and use an led light to shine across the items face. I use my iPhone's led light. Adjust the angle until you can see the most detail. I use an iPad primarily to take the pics but I have a nice Nikon as well. For the coppers leave them dry and run some nose grease across the face to be photographed. It will really highlights any high points and give contrast in the picture. This is one in the dark room with light. It looks nothing like this in the regular light

By the way have I ever showed you my Spanish silver?
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I would love to hunt in the water at that spot!
Congrats on your great finds!

That is an awesome spot you stumbled on, and I "assume" stumbled on as it is probably mostly washed away by tide, and time ?

Unlike Abe (who's pictures are good) I prefer a white (computer paper) background for my pictures, my pictures are good too. If you got access to a nikon, and pics. like the wife's button, please use it for the close ups or important pics.

Thanks Rick. I'm hoping to get back there tomorrow with the family at dead low tide. The wife likes sea glass and there's no shortage of that. The half reale I got would have been underwater if I was a half hour later getting there. I'm still trying to work on it some before pictures. It's got detail but seems stubborn on all the important spots like the date. Trying one more lemon juice bath before I give up on it. The other silver I got was a 1912 five cent that seemed out of place for the date range of the rest of the coins.

Will not hurt it. You could leave it in a month and it would not hurt it. Just change it every few hours and you'll be able to tell if it's getting discolored and still working. The only risk is when a coin is not silver, but if it wasn't the beach would have already eaten it. So personally I would keep soaking as long as it was making a difference.

Thanks it does seem to be helping so I'll leave it. Show you pics when I'm done. I think my friend did better on the amount of coppers and in good shape coins but I'm the only one to get Spanish silver so it's a toss up. It's not in great shape but it's only my second Spanish so I'm not complaining! [emoji106]

That's lucky because I dug a real on the shore and the lemon did zero for it. You should post good shots of his coins.

It's pretty much the same for me. That dark on the coin from the shore seems tough as hell to do anything with but I'm trying. I told my friend to send me some clear pictures as soon as he can.

Here's a few of his coin photos. There's better shape ones but he said these are the ones that look different than the others...ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1458661249.267559.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1458661259.388532.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1458661267.106310.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1458661277.089081.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1458661284.270745.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1458661291.376399.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1458661298.575665.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1458661306.378441.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1458661313.727429.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1458661321.078943.webp

My 1771 half reale. Wish better shape but at least it's identifiable. Would have liked to were it was made etc. off it...
