Last weeks temperatures hitting the 70's here in New York I had to get out knowing we were facing a week of rain coming in from Frankenstorm so I got out a few times and plucked out more large coppers! I was really surprised when I revisted one field where two years ago the site only revealed a large cent and a broken piece of copper spoon. No buttons or anything else, very unusual for what I find in the fields.
So with my new machine I went back and within a 20 sq ft radius from where I got my first largy 2 yrs ago I hit two more laargy's plus a Bank of Montreal Token (don't know if it's a half penny or a penny yet) plus I dug a large copper medal or token thingy. Have no idea what it is, has big bold letters on one side.
After digging them up I hit another field with only 20 minutes til sunset and hit a coronet large cent and a decent 1893 Indian Head Cent along with a croto bell.
Here's the pre-cleaning pics... Thanks for looking!
