Hello folks. Been checking out this site for quite sometime now. It's cool to see everyone here still picking up some real nice relics and the knowledge you share about these relics. In my area the no till farming really put a hurt on good relic hunting. I still pick one up on old farm sites now and then, but most detecting I do is in the water. In 1968 my grandpa gave me an arrowhead for my 8th birthday. He used to find them diging peatmoss. Less than 2 months later a heart attack took his life. He never got to see what he started. Within a couple years I was walking fields, and the rest is history. I thought I should share some pictures. Some I got a good idea what they are, others not a clue. Most I have found, some I bought from local farms or were given to me by friends. Please bare with me, my pics don't always post when I want em to. Could someone tell me what this Tags: means, and what its for?

Some real nice points and it's great that you got started by your grandfather:thumbsup:

That one with the bulls eye on it is nice. Good collection of points

You have some super finds. My grandfather got me interested in artifacts by taking me with him to hunt on his farm.

Nice way to start and you have done well. Not sure what the "tag"means. Where are you seeing it? I use the 3rd icon from the right"insert image" to post a picture.

I'll have to check that out. I sure there are better ways to post a pic. I still carry a flip phone:laughing7:

Thank you Rock. I think they had an eye for beauty only second to necessity.

I lost both of my grandfathers when I was young, but they were around long enough to leave an impression.
