The 1st picture is a short (1 hr 15 mins) Sunday hunt that I did with Land-Mag on 2 new grass fields. Nothing much to report other than crossing them off the list. As well as probably getting my oldest Clothes Peg, I got my first Show Rabbit Leg Ring from the British Rabbit Council.:laughing7:

The 2nd picture is Cru'dad's 3 hour hunt on the Roman Wood Site, he had 10 scrappies, so that will be our next outing.

Today, I did 5 hours & Cru'dad did just less than 4 hours on 'The Potato Field'. The aim as always on this field was to get 1 hammered, we failed that last time but made up for it today:

1 Scrappy (not pictured)
2 Lead Tokens
1 French Jetton
Crotal Bell
18th C Toy Cannon 8-)
Neolithic Flint
Medieval Bits..
Frag of a Solid Silver 18th C Shoe Buckle.:sadsmiley:
2 Hammered - Halfgroat (no ID), & a Cut Short-cross (no ID)
What may turn out to be my best button the year - I think its a Very Rare Admiral's Button from 1787-1812. But I put it on the What Is It, as I don't have the right books - Any help welcome?

UPDATE:
(from leading expert)

It's a version of 18th C ''Commissioner of the Navy Button''. I haven't had a date range yet because the only similar example shared is a later convex example which does have a very similar design. Therefore, the date I'm giving it is based on it's shank type & general form.
Although not as 'sexy' as I first imagined, I believe it's rarity is still right up there!

So many awesome finds but I love that button.

That is one beautiful and cool button. The other finds are impressive as well, those hammered silvers are really nice! You always seem to find the neatest stuff!
