What do I do with all these severely corroded coins? ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1601403572.143872.webp

Or a tumbler first for a bit and then put in rolls and take them to a bank. I have some to do myself.

I take mine and lay them out in the wet sand to spell, "SUCKER" but, I'm kinda weird. :skullflag:

Yup, rock tumbler (or in my case, I need a cement mixer!) with some aquarium gravel, soap, and bit of vinegar. Just don't mix copper with the clad unless you like pink coins!

I currently am building a set for each coin type I find, If i can read the date I keep it for the set! I call it my treasure hunting set! Trying to find each year and mint from every cent, nickel, dime or quarter makes them more significant to find. Instead of just tossing them, or spending them. For me, finding a 2019 Cent even if its wildly corroded already still feels good as long as it fills a spot in my collection!

Honestly really surprised noone else seems to do this with their clad finds.

Tumble, then roll, then deposit in bank,or send to me and I will deposit in my bank account.

Or pink silver jewelry like me. Lol

Clean the coins and take them to the casino. No rolling. No fees. They just drop them in the coin counter machine and hand you the cash. Check them after cleaning just to make sure you didn’t miss something good.

Oh, so that was you! And I thought I had stumbled onto a pocket spill! :BangHead:

Soake in vinegar overnight and then scrub with a stainless steel kitchen scourer . I've cleaned hundreds of coins in the last few months.. Excalibur hates the steel ones so I don't dig those.

Too much work in my book. Tumble and rinse is all I'm willing to do to get them spendable, or, to make them good enough to go through the CoinStar.

wrap in heavy burlap sac. Tie chain, use as anchor
