The Rummage Sale Lady Said "What's in the box"

I said "I don't know , I think it's locked"

she said "What else you got there "

I said " A rubber raft thing , some playing cards , and some shelf brackets "

She said "How about $7.00 "

I said " Sure "

The box was very heavy , when I got home I dug out my box of old keys . After about 15 minuets , I found one that fit . I thought it was a microscope at first glance - it turns out to be a refractometer W/ instructions and receipts .

Great find, based on the shipping receipt belonged to the Army at one time. Now what does a refractometer do?

Very nice. A gemologist should pay a pretty penny for that. Excellent find! A refractometer does what it sounds like it, it measures the refraction of a mineral crystal to sunlight. Very necessary tool for a gemologist.
