The secret's out of the bag
I was paying with half dollars and Sacagaweas for snacks at the gas station today, and the teller complained about them, then looked them over for silver. I asked if that's what he's doing, and he says he got a "collector's item" from a customer who had no idea what they had. Then he pulls out a 2007-S silver proof half dollar.
That's the first recent silver proof half I've seen in "circulation". Then another customer walks up and says "oh, is that a silver fifty cent?"
Guess the cat's out of the bag.
